Reservations

  • Until what time do you accept same-day reservations?

     

    You can make reservations through the website until 2 hours before your arrival. If online reservations have been closed, please call us (hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm).

     
  • Can I visit the shop without reservations?

     

    You may visit the shop without reservations, but we recommend calling first about availability.

     
  • Can I make reservations by phone?

     

    Yes, we also accept reservations by phone.

     
  • I made a duplicate reservation. What should I do?

     

    Please contact us by phone (hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm). We will check your reservations and cancel the duplicate.

     
  • Can I select a different kimono than the one I reserved on the day of my reservation?

     

    Yes, you can select different items than those you reserved when you visit the shop on the day of your reservation. Please note, however, that we may not be able to make changes depending on the available kimono. You will also be charged the difference for changing to times that are part of a more expensive plan. Please note, you will be charged the same for changing to items that are part of a less expensive plan.

     

Dressing

  • What should I do if I stain my rental kimono?

     

    You will be charged ¥10,000 if you stain your kimono during meals, for example, or damage the kimono in some way. We therfore recommend purchasing the Insurance Pack to lessen this burden. This pack applies to the kimono, obi, obi cord, inner kimono, zori, accessory pouch, and other items related to the kimono. The Insurance Pack 300 (¥300) applies to standard plans for men’s and ladies’ yukata and Insurance Pack 1000 (¥1,000) applies to standard plans for men’s and ladies’ kimono.

     
  • During which seasons can I rent yukata?

     

    You can rent yukata from May to October. We cannot always offer yukata during other months.

     
  • Can I choose my obi and accessories?

     

    Our staff will provide obi and all other accessories that match your desired kimono. If you see something you like in the shop, please let our staff know.

     
  • How much times does dressing take?

     

    Typically, dressing can take from 30 minutes to 1 hour. Please note that during busy times you may have to wait depending on the number of reservations.

     
  • I am tall (or short). Can I still wear a kimono?

     

    Our kimono can be worn by women ranging in height form 150 to 170 cm and men ranging from 160 to 180 cm. We also have several sizes for slightly taller individuals. Although kimono can be worn by those who are a little shorter or taller, in the unlikely event that you are unable to wear a kimono, please note that your reservation will be canceled in some cases. Although we do have women’s kimono for those 180 cm or taller, these may not be available due to the limited number. Please call us first (hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm) about availability.

     

Hairstyling

  • Do you offer hairstyling services?

     

    We offer simple hairstyling using hair ornaments free of charge, as well as options for authentic hairstyles with a sense of flare for a fee.

     
  • Do you rent hair ornaments and other accessories?

     

    We rent these out to anyone who desires. The types of hair ornaments that we lend out differ depending on your hairstyling plan. You will have the option of choosing from among the hair ornaments that the staff provide.

     
  • I have short hair. Can you offer hairstyling options for me?

     

    As long as your hair is of a certain length, we can even style short hair.

     

Rental items

  • What should I do if I stain my rental kimono?

Return

  • What time should I return the rental by?

     

    You must return your rental on the day of your reservation or the following day (option) by 4:00 pm.

     
  • Can I extend my rental?

     

    Yes, you may. In general, you must return the rental on the day of your reservation, but for an extra ¥1,000 (tax not included) you may extend your rental until 4:00 pm on the following day.

     

Cancellations

  • Please tell me about your cancellation policy.

     

    You will NOT be charged a cancellation fee if you contact us up until the day before your reservation. However, you will be charged the full amount for one person (each person?) as a cancellation fee if you cancel on the day of your reservation.

     
  • I wish to cancel my reservations. What should I do?

     

    Please call us (hours: 9:00 am to 4:00 pm)

     
  • Is there a cancellation fee?

     

    You will NOT be charged a cancellation fee if you contact us at least three days before your reservation. However, you will be charged 50% for each person if you cancel the day before or two days before your reservation. You will be charged the full amount for one person (each person?) as a cancellation fee if you cancel on the day of your reservation.

  • I forgot something at the shop. What should I do?

  • Will you do my makeup?
